Autumn offers something winter cannot: before the river freezes, the Northern Lights are seen twice, once in the sky and once in the dark, still water beneath it.
By day, the birches glow gold with ruska and the air turns crisp. By night, the Totto fire is lit by the shore, the blankets are ready, and all that is left to do is wait, look up and let the sky decide.
